ACCORDING TO ME
The project involved primary school children designing their ideal classroom furniture. Rather than using prefabricated models, the furniture was meticulously crafted by the children themselves using digital modeling tools like Blender. Each piece of furniture featured intricate patterns and designs, reflecting the unique creativity of its young designer. These bespoke furniture pieces were then brought to life in a virtual classroom environment created using Unity. The classroom was designed to be immersive and interactive, allowing users to explore it using a first-person controller. What made this project special was the incorporation of kinetic pattern animations as video textures for the furniture, adding a dynamic and lively element to the virtual space.
The end result was a virtual walkthrough of the children's dream classroom, where every desk, chair, and shelf told a story of imagination and innovation. Through this project, the children not only learned about digital design and virtual environments but also gained a sense of ownership and pride in seeing their creations come to life in a whole new way.
